What is Environmental Psychology?
Environmental Psychology is the field of study that focus on the interrelationship between people and their environment albeit, natural or built. This interaction between people and their environment can be researched, understood and changed.

Each research project has a different research question, focus and target audience. The methodology used to answer the research question will be tailored to the client's individual objectives, will vary in size and cost. Please contact us for a discussion on your research scope and needs.

Who is EnviroPsych Research?

EnviroPsych Research is an owner managed SME in Somerset West, by Mathilda du Preez. She holds a Masters' degree in Research Psychology and a PhD degree in Psychology and is passionate about understanding the interaction between people and their environment. At EnviroPsych Research we explore this interaction by means of research.

Evidence based design studies: We always include a desk top study, exploring previous research on your research problem. Once key aspects have been identified, we tailor the research design to your needs. We offer both qualitative and quantitative research services. In contrast to large research houses which can be extremely expensive, we primarily focus on 'small' projects.

Project scopes: Project scopes depend on client needs and are tailored to reach specific client objectives. Some surveys are small and include at least 30 respondents (for pilot testing) 200 respondents on electronically based surveys, others require mass distribution to existing contact lists of thousands of respondents.

We also conduct in-depth interviews and focus groups should the client objectives necessitate a more in-depth exploration of the interaction between people and their environments.

Results: Results are presented to the client in the form of a workshop allowing the client to respond and question the findings before a final report is delivered.
